It is time for fall and apples are a favorite theme. So we have some new apple number tracing strips. They are going great for working on tracing numbers with a fun theme.

It is great to have matching themes for different activities and these go great with an apple theme and you can use them all fall!

The apple number tracing strips are a great addition to the apple printables on the site.

The number tracing strips are great for later PreK and Kindergarten. You can use just the numbers you are looking for or the whole set. They are great for any time during the year.

I recommend cutting and laminating the strips to use them over and over. You can use a hole punch to make a hole in the circle and put them on a ring. It also makes them easy to store.

printer
white cardstock
laminator – this is similar to what I use and love!
laminating pouches
q-tip
dry erase markers
1 inch ring
sheet protectors

Ways to Use the Apple Number Tracing Strips Printable

I’m going to show you a few ways that we have used the apple themed number tracing strips.

Store the Apple Number Tracing strips on a Ring

You can store the number strips on a ring. That way you can put on only the tracing strips that you need. If you are working on 1 to 10 you can only put those on. If you are working 11 to 20 then put those tracing strips on.

Trace the Numbers with a Dry Erase Marker

You can use dry erase markers on these because they have been laminated. You can see how easy it is to trace the numbers. Plus you can also trace the example first and then those on the strip.

Cleaning off the number tracing strips

After they trace the number on the strip. You can use a q-tip to clean off the tracing. This is a great way to work on extra fine motor work. Plus some kids find it fun to do.

Put Number Tracing Strips in a Binder

Now if you don’t want to laminate but want to be able to reuse these pages, then put them in sheet protectors. You can put the number tracing strips in a binder and trace them over and over. Plus you can switch them strips out as the season changes. I like to leave these in a binder so they can pull it out and trace them when they want.
