Free Beach Addition Puzzle Printable
Summer is a great time to switch up how we learn! And you can have a lot of fun learning with puzzles. I have this great free beach themed puzzle for addition!
Beach has always been a favorite theme at our house. And adding this fun puzzle to learning makes math facts fun for younger kids.
I know that I’m always asked about new ways to work on early addition. Now kids can with this puzzle!
I love that the Beach Addition Puzzle Printable is another fun addition to the beach printables and addition printables on the site!
This addition puzzle is great for those in late kindergarten or early first grade. It has simple addition from 1 to 12. It is a fun way to on reviewing the information.
Plus these are very basic equations for kids to learn. And have fun with it.
There is a very simple mat with equations on it. There are 12 equations that have answers from 1 t0 12. I recommend printing on cardstock and laminating
the puzzles if you will use them often.

Each piece of the puzzles has a number in the top right corner of each piece of the puzzle that will match a square on the mat. I printed the puzzles pieces on cardstock and laminated
it.

Things to use with this Addition Puzzle
These are the items we used with this puzzle to make or prepare or activities the puzzle is apart of in the post.
- printer
- white cardstock
- laminator
- laminating pouches
- wall putty
- sensory bin
- rice
- mini erasers or shells
Ways to use the Beach Addition Puzzle
One thing I love to do with the puzzles after I laminate them is put putty on the mat. This allows the puzzles to stay in place. You can see I placed a small amount on each corner. You can reuse the putty so it is easy to put on and off and you don’t have to worry about velcro or something else.

Once the piece is pressed onto the putty it stays. I can even pick the puzzle up and hold it up and it stays.

Here is one way you can set up the puzzles to do. You can see the putty on the mat and the puzzle pieces off to the side.

Then they can do the puzzle. it is fun to watch the puzzle made as they do the math.

Now if you want to change this up and do something to make the puzzle different then put the pieces in a sensory bin. I pulled out a bin, rice, and some seasonal erasers to through into the bin. Super easy to do and a great change from just doing the puzzle.

They can pull the pieces from the bin. And see the number.

They they match the number to the puzzle. You get sensory fun and math facts at the same time.
