What is a Wreath Craft
A wreath is a collection of items around a circle. It can be used as a seasonal decoration around a house.
Color Blending Valentines Heart Wreaths
A few years ago, we made a fun Valentine’s themed washi tape wreath, and it was loads of fun to have. Since then we have made loads of different wreaths and had fun with it!
We love using oil pastels to do crafts. They are fun to blend and see how different each blend and color can be. And I just love how they turn out.

How we made the Valentine’s Heart Wreath Craft
You can see the steps below that we used to make the Valentine’s Heart wreath craft.
Step 1: Dot marker the Plate
We took the paper plates and dotted them with dot markers. We were all going to use pink but my youngest decided she wanted purple. This is what I love about these crafts there is no wrong way to do them. After we finish we put them aside to dry. Dot markers dry really fast. This is why we use them rather than paints.

Step 2: Look at Size of Hearts
I always have samples of the shape we are using so that we can see how far we need to color on the paper.

Step 3: Blend the Colors on the Cardstock
Next, we had loads of fun blending colors. We use the new Crayola Oil Pastels, Assorted Neon Colors. I love the bright colors. We picked two or more colors for each heart. We rubbed the oil pastels on cardstock. We made sure to over lap some of the colors.

Step 4: Punch Out the Hearts
After you have the color done, you punch out the hearts. You can do one at a time or all at the same time. We like to do one at a time.

Step 5: Place Hearts on the Wreath
Finally, place the hearts around on the plate and then glue them in place. This is fun to see how we all have our own ideas of how this is done.
