How To Make The Watercolor Butterfly Wreath Craft
You can see all the steps we used to make the Watercolor Butterfly Wreath. And you can also check out this paper plate butterfly craft after you are done.
Step 1: Paint the Wreath
We first painting the paper plate with dot markers. We used greens and a mix of colors to make it look like flowers. After we finished we set the plates aside to dry.

Step 2: Use a Butterfly Punch To Help with Painting Height
We used one of the butterflies punched out to see how tall we needed to paint on the paper. We made 4 rows on the watercolor paper.

Step 3: Paint the Watercolor Paper
After we knew where to paint and how high, we started having fun painting the paper in fun and creative ways. We have fun with this. It was loads of fun. You could always do just one color for all the butterflies as well.

Step 4: Punch out the Butterflies
After we let the watercolor dry we then punched out the butterflies. This can be hard for younger kids to do because of how thick the paper is. If they can’t do it have them position the paper and help them punch it out. Or you could just punch the butterflies beforehand.

Step 5: Glue the Butterflies on the Wreath
Finally, we glued all our butterflies onto the paper plate to finish off our wreaths.
