Play in the Flower & Rice Sensory Bin
As above this is for sensory play. And yes let kids play in sensory bins. They might make a mess but they are loads of fun to play in.
You can scoop and more and find flowers and more.

Sort the Colors of the Flowers
You can have a fun color sorting activity. You can see there are several different colors and some are similar colors as well.
They can make small piles of a the flowers in the bin.
After they have them sorting it is fun to mix the flowers back into the rice.
Make Shapes, Letters or Numbers
If you have not mixed the flowers back in the rice after sorting. Then use the rice to make shapes, letters and numbers.
You can see we made a square below. It is very simple and easy to do. And you can use flashcards to help as well.

Scoop and Pour the Rice & Flowers
A fun activity that we always love is scooping and pouring with rice sensory bins. You take scoops of the flowers and in your hands and then pour it back into the bin. Yes this might make a mess but that is okay.
You can do this over and over. It is fun to listen to the sound the rice and flowers make as they are poured back in the bin.

And Remember You Can Just Play
And a final reminder to just play in sensory bins. They are so much fun and kids can just enjoy the sensory play without any other activities
