Fraction Number Line Bookmarks
I know that there are some kids that learn with visuals. And I love bookmarks and now fractions are together with some new bookmarks with number lines.
Plus these new fraction number line bookmarks have a great visual for kids to use of the fraction as well!
Kids can have fun learning with these new bookmarks. Plus these are great for hands-on help and learning.
I like easy to use things that kids can use as a reference. It is one reason I started making bookmarks. They are great for smaller hands and easy to flip through and use.
We use them a lot at our house.
I had already made some fraction bookmarks that are great for learning about them. But I wanted something different to show the fractions.
Thus we have the fraction number line bookmarks.
I used the number line because a lot of kids learn with number lines for math and this just puts the fractions in a format they already know.
There are fractions bookmarks for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, and 12.
You can see each fraction on the number line from 0 to 1. It shows them how each fraction fits on the number line.

There is also a version of the fraction number line with a visual of the fraction above it. This helps with the kids that are visual learners.

Ways to Use the Fraction Number Line Bookmarks
I put these bookmarks on a ring. I also like to print them on colored cardstock. You can always print them on their favorite cardstock or change it up for the seasons.

Plus they fit so great in kids’ hands. And they can flip through the different number lines really easily.

You can have them start by pointing to each fraction on the number line and saying the fraction name.

You could also take clothespins and cover some of the fraction. They can then tell you what the covered fraction is. It makes a great math center that way.

You can also take these fraction number lines and clip the number and have them build it on the fraction help mat.
You can use mini eraser or clear counters for the hands-on areas. Really anything can be used for it.
