You can print the Christmas lights color word playdough mat on cardstock and laminate the page. This works great repeated use in learning centers.
If you are going to use these Christmas lights color word playdough mats only a few times then you can print it on white copy paper and then put the page in a sheet protector. If you do this option you can put all the pages in sheet protectors and store them in a binder or have kids flip through the pages and do all the color words.
Either way works great for working on color words.
And once you decide how you are going to prepare the playdough mats you are ready to use them!
Using Playdough on the Christmas Lights Color Playdough Mats

You can have the playdough match the color of the word or use any playdough that you have.

The Christmas light playdough mats also work great as a handwriting page as well. You can see below that we put the page in a sheet protector and then use a dry erase marker to write the letter inside the bubble font.
It is a fun way to use the playdough mat again with kids.
