CVCC words are consonant vowel consonant consonant words. Some examples of CVCC words are back, ping, jump and lock, and nest. CVCC words can have a digraph or a blend at the end for the two letters.

Ways to use the Flower CVC & CVCC Word Family Writing Printables
You will see some suggestions below on how to use the CVC and CVCC writing printables. Plus some of the helps we have used with them.
Set up a CVC or CVCC Writing Center
You can see a simple set up below. You have one of the flower writing pages, a pencil and a wall card that matches the word ending.
You can use the CVCC Word Family Wall Cards or the CVC Word Family Wall Cards if they need help with word suggestions. You can give them the card that matches the page they are doing their writing.

Write the CVCC or CVC Words on the Flower leaves
You can see how simple it is to work on the CVCC or CVC words with this printable. We have used a green marker and to write the words on the leaves.
You can do this for any of the writing pages in these printables.

Color the Flowers Writing
After you finish writing the words, you can color the flowers as well. It is a great way to add a little color and make a fun spring display of the CVC or CVCC words.

Write and Underline the Ending of the Words
You can have kids write the words on the leaves. Then have them underline the ending in each of the words that they have written.
You can see we have the word -un word writing page and we have underlined all un endings on the words.
Remember that kids could do blends or digraphs on these as well!

Make a Word Building Ladder with the Flowers
If you have a child who is working on rhyming but might not be writing as much you can write on the ending on the leaves and gives them lacing letters to make the words.
This will make the flower a word ladder for them to build words. You can see we used ABC stamps and stamped the ending letters on the flower leaves.
Then we took the lacing letters and built words. You can see an example below.
