Clip the Answer to the Addition
You can see below that we used the clothespins to clip the answer for the addition clip card.
You can see you can just use the cards without the number line to clip the answers to the addition.
Using the Number Line on the Addition Clip Cards
You are going to see a fun way to use the number line on the garden addition clip cards.
Place the Paperclip on the Number Line
Place a large paperclip on the clip card. You can see the smaller side of the paperclip is on the number line side. You want to make sure the paperclip outlines the number 0 on the number line.
Count the Slide the Paperclip on the Number Line
You can count the first set of pictures before the addition symbol. Then you slide the paperclip to that number.
Count the Last Numbers on the Addition Clip Card
Finally you count the set of the items on the clip cards and move the paperclip for each garden item you count. And you come to the answer of the equation.
Then you can clip the answer on the side or just leave the paperclip over the answer.
