Preparing the Groundhog Day Bookmarks
You can printing these Groundhog Day bookmarks on white cardstock and laminating them. It helps the bookmarks last longer as well.
You could also use the stardust cardstock for the bookmarks. It add a little extra color on the bookmarks but still mostly white. You can also add a little bit of yarn or ribbon at the top of the bookmarks.

You are going to see a few ways that we have used bookmarks.
Keep Your Place in the Books
These bookmarks are great to keep your place in books. You can print them in cardstock and not laminate them and have kids write their page number on the back of the bookmark. A great way to keep trace of where they are in a book if the bookmark falls out. And you can see how many pages they are reading in a sitting.
And the holiday theme is fun for kids. And it is a fun surprise for Groundhog Day.

Now these are great to use in chapter books. When my girls were younger we lost bookmarks all the time and having different themes through out the year made it fun.
