Pirate Number Tracing Strips
These fun Pirate tracing strips are a great way to work on handwriting with numbers.
The Pirate number tracing strips are great for later PreK and Kindergarten. You can use just the numbers you are looking for or the whole set. They are great for Earth Day or a Space theme.
It is recommended that you print the Pirate number tracing printables on cardstock and laminate them.

Ways to Use the Pirate Number Tracing Strips Printable
You will see different ways to use the pirate number tracing strips.
Laminate the Pirate Number Tracing Strips
If you plan on using these number tracing strips a lot. You can laminate them and that helps them last longer.
You can laminate and then cut out the strips. Or you can cut the strips out and then laminate. You can do which works better with your laminator.

Store the Pirate Number Tracings Strips on Rings
After you have the pirate number tracing strips prepared a great way to keep all the tracing stripes together is to put them on on a ring.
We is a 1 inch ring and it can keep them all together. You can also separate them by numbers and have a 0 to 10 on the first ring and 11 to 20 on a second ring.
Using Pirate Number Tracing Strips in A Number Center
After you have the numbers you are going to use you put them in a number tracing center. You have the number tracing strips you are going to use on a ring. Then you give kids a dry erase marker for them to trace the numbers.

As you are tracing the numbers know that you can just trace the dotted numbers. But you can also trace the example of the number.

Cleaning Off Dry Erase Marker with Q-Tip
Now you have just done all the tracing and you have to clean off the tracing strips. Let kids do it! Give them a q-tip to wipe off the lines. This is great for adding more working on the numbers and fine motor to wipe off the lines.
