How to Make the Pumpkin Counting Easy Reader Books
I always get asked how I make the easy reader books. Here are the simple steps that I use to make the books. I use scissors and a stapler.
Cut Down the Center of the Pumpkin Counting Easy Reader Book
You start by lining up the pages and cutting down the middle of the book. You want to make sure you hold the pages steady while you cut.
Alternate the Pages of the Pumpkin Counting Easy Reader Book
You alternate the pages of the book. The odd pages are on the top and the even pages on the bottom. You have even and then odd until all the pages are sorted.
Staple the Left side of the Pumpkin Counting Easy Reader Book
After you make sure all the pages of the book are lined up, staple the book on the left side. Then your easy reader book is ready to be used.

You can use the book in many ways, but you will see a few fun ways to use this counting book.
Use Pumpkins on the Pumpkin Number Counting Book
You can do a fun hands on activity with this pumpkin counting book. You can use small pumpkins and have them match the pumpkins on each of the pages.
It is best to give them the same amount of pumpkins that match the pumpkins total in the book.
Using a Pencil to Trace the Number Words
You can use a pencil to trace the number word. You can trace with the pencil the first time before tracing with marker or crayons.
If you have someone who is having issues holding a pencil they use a pencil grips to help.
Color the Number Word in the Pumpkin Easy Reader Book
You can start off with coloring the word at the top of each page. This is great for kids who might not be great at handwriting but can color.
You could also have kids trace inside the bubble letters as well. We used a fine line marker to color the number words.
Trace the Number Word in the Sentence
Next step you might want to trace the number word in the book. So that you are again working on each number word on the page.
If you did the pencil tracing the first time the marker works great over the pencil tracing.
Color the Pumpkins in the Easy Reader Book
Finally you color the pumpkins in the book. You can count the pumpkins as you color them. By having a counting with the number word helps kids focus making the connection between the amount and the number word.
