What is Subitizing?
Subitizing is the ability to recognize a small group of objects without counting. This would be with dots, dice, and tally marks as examples of groups of objects. Subitizing is part of the development of number sense.
Today’s number printable works on learning to match groups of objects to the correct number. You will find raindrops to match a numbered cloud. Plus there is a picture with a boy with an umbrella and raindrops to count and sort as well.
You will find tally marks, ten frames, and dice for the raindrops to match the number on the cloud.
I recommend printing on cardstock and laminating so you can use these over and over.
You have numbers from 1 to 10 on the clouds. These number cards are for use with the raindrops to sort under the numbers.

You can see the four different types of numbers you can sort. You have three that are great for subitizing and one is great for counting. You have dice, ten frames, tally marks, and counting raindrops.
