What is a shape?
It is a geometric shape like a square, triangle, and rectangle. These are just some of the shapes.
Shape Clip Card Printables For Kids
Each shape clip cards has a kid holding a shape in the middle. Then you have four pictures that are different shapes to clip. There are two correct shapes for each shape clip card. They help kids identify what shapes are the same.
You have two shape clip cards on each page. They work for kids in in (ages 3 to 4), prek (ages 4 to 5) and kindergarten (ages 5 to 6).
You have 12 shapes clip cards. The shape are circle, square, rectangle, oval, rhombus triangle, star, heart, crescent, hexagon, and octagon.

Ways to Use the Shape Clip Card Printable
You will see some ways to use these shape clip cards.
Preparing the Shape Clip Cards
You will want to print the shape clip cards on cardstock. It helps the cards last longer.
You can also laminate the cards to help them last a long time.
Setting up a Shape Center with the Shape Clip Cards
You have a stack of the shape clip cards. You can talk to kids about what each of the shape names are if this is their first time. Or use the shape clip cards for a review.
After the shape cards are prepared, you have a stack of the shape clip cards they will be clipping. You want to have clothespins that match the number of cards. Paperclips will also work for the clipping.
You can also use the Shape wall Cards as help for kids.
Clipping the Shape Clip Cards
You can see how we used the clothespins to clip the shapes that were the shape as the kid holding the shape.
You can ask why they think it is the same shape and also what the other shapes they did not clip are.
Hands-On Items With the Clipping the Shape Clip Cards
You can also use hands-on items with the shape clip cards. You can see we use glass gems to place on the clip cards to mark which shape is different.
Clipping the Different Shapes
Since theses clip cards are flexible you can also do the reverse and have kids clip the shape that are different from the shape in the middle.
It is great to have different ways to use the same printable.
