The shape four piece puzzles have several of each shape on the puzzle in three sizes. You have the shape word on the puzzle in the middle. Each puzzle has only four pieces and matching the shapes on the puzzle will make the puzzle.

Ways to Use the Shape Four Piece Puzzle Printables
Here are a few ways to prepare and use the shape puzzles with kids.
Preparing the Shape Puzzles
These shape puzzles work best printed on cardstock. If you are going to use the shape puzzles a lot of times then you might want to laminate them. You can do which words best for you.
And the cardstock does help them last a bit even if you don’t laminate. I also suggest just printing off the shapes that you are working on to save paper.
Give one Shape Puzzle To Build
You can give kids one puzzle at a time. You don’t have to start out with lots of different puzzles mixed together.
You can see one of the shape puzzle cut and mixed below. You can let them know the shape they are working when you give them the puzzles.
A suggestion for kids just working on shapes for the first time is to print the puzzle out twice and use one as a template to make the puzzles pieces.
After they finish the puzzles you can talk about the shape.

Which is the smallest shape?
Which is the medium shape?
Which is the largest shape?
What are the letters in the shape word?
You can also talk about colors if you want. There are so many ways to use these for learning.

You can use shapes puzzles with the shape chart. The shape chart has the shape and shape words all on one page. It is easy to look at and use.
The shape chart works great for helping kids learn their shapes or help with shapes.
Put the Shape Puzzle in a Sensory Bin
Another great activity that is fun is to put the shape puzzles in a rice sensory bin. You can place the pieces in the sensory bin. Kids can then dig around and find all the shape puzzles pieces and make all the puzzles.
Another way to change up using the shape puzzles.
