Easy To Use Dolch Sight Word Lists to Print

There are several different sight words lists that you can use with kids. The ones that I use most often are the Dolch Sight Word lists for the various sight word printables that I make.

The printable Dolch sight word lists are super easy to just print and use. And yes I had loads of requests for a list of Dolch Sight Words.

What is a Dolch Sight Word?

Dolch sight words are words in a list that was put together in the 1930s and 1940s by Edward William Dolch.

These Dolch Sight Word Lists have the most common prepositions, conjunctions, adjectives, adverbs, and verbs. Some examples are like, and, can, go here, and come.

For each of the Dolch Sight Word lists, you will find two types of pages. There a sight word list for checklist sight words and Dolch Sight Word lists for reading the Dolch sight words. You can see an example of both below.

Ways to use the Sight Words Dolch Lists

You can use the lists in many different ways. You don’t have to always think of them as just one way to use them.

Color Code the Dolch Sight Word Lists

I don’t always like white paper for the lists. My girls have always loved colored paper. And your kids might like that as well. We have our sight word flashcards printed to match the list colors.

Trace and Match the Dolch Sight Word Lists

Another fun way to use these is to give your kids a group of sight words flashcards to trace and the matching list. After they trace the word they check it off on the list. I like to mix up the cards I give them.

Read the Dolch Sight Word Lists

You can also just use these as word practice! They can read the words down the list. They can point to the words and read them.
