Summer Sports ABC Tracing Strip Printables
Below, you can see the uppercase and lowercase letters on the strip with the example and the ones to trace with the different summer themes.
You are going to find basketball, cycling, diving, gymnastics, field hockey, handball, sailing, running, and swimming.
These are great for handwriting in PreK (ages 4 to 5) and Kindergarten (ages 5 to 6). You can use just the letters you are looking for or the whole set.
It is recommended that you print the letter tracing strips on cardstock and laminate them.

Laminating the Summer Sports ABC Tracing Strips
I love to laminate the letter tracing strips. You can do this a few ways. You can cut out the strips and then laminate the strips. And then you cut the strips out.
I like to laminate first and then cut out the strips. You can see a laminated sheet below and will cut it out after laminating.
Storing the Summer Sports ABC Tracing Strips
A great way to store these tracing stirps is on a ring. You can keep them together and pull out what you need or use them all.
Setting up a Summer Sports ABC Letter Tracing Centers
You can see below a simple set up for a summer sports handwriting center. You have the laminated strips on a ring and a dry erase marker. We are using blue, but you can use any color of dry erase marker.

Tracing the Letters
You can see below that we trace the letter J on the tracing strips. This is a fun way to work on handwriting over and over. we use a blue dry erase marker.
You could also just tracing the lowercase letters on the strip or just the uppercase letter. And you can also trace the example as well.
Cleaning Off Colored Dry Erase Marker with A Black Marker
Okay not all colored dry erase markers want to come off easy. And they can take some scrubbing. But did you know that using a black dry erase marker over the top helps get the color right off?
Yup is does. You can do this or have kids trace with the black and white off after.
