Division can be hard and a lot of learning with division is memorization. And it can be hard to remember how many groups of a number you can make. But matching games can make this fun. You can work on many different numbers together while learning division.
You have two sizes of sorting mats. There is a big one that will fit loads of frogs and a smaller one that will fit a few smaller frogs. They come in numbers 1 to 12. I recommend printing these on cardstock and laminating
them.

There are 12 frogs for each division number. They match up to the numbers 1 to 12. You can see an example of the divided by 12 frogs below.

There is also a matching recording sheet that you can use with the matching printable.

How to use the Frog Division Sorting
If you are new to division then I recommend working on one number frog set at a time. But you can mix the cards up as much as you want.
The big lilypad sorting mats are great when you are sorting many different division cards. You can see the number and add many frogs to the mats.
This makes it easy to mix up all the different levels of division.

You can also sort the frog division cards to the smaller lilypads. You can use one level of cards at a time for this. It is easy to see what numbers are left.

To go with the smaller cards, you can make a frog or pond themed bin to put the cards in. The bin has rice, glass gems, Safari Ltd Frogs and Turtles TOOB, and the cards. I made sure the cards were in deep enough to cover the equation.

It is super fun for kids to pull the frogs out of the bin.

You can change this up and put the frogs and lilypads on rings. I like to keep the lilypads in 1 to 12 order and mix up the frogs.
They flip through the cards finding the matches.

You can also take those frogs on rings and turn it into a math center. You can use the recording sheet and frogs on a ring. They flip through the cards and record the answers. You can also see we printed the recording sheet on green paper to make it fun!
