Fun Math: Roll a Pond Scene
Ponds has been a favorite theme at our house for a very long time and Jump, Frog, Jump! has been a favorite book for as long as I can remember. It was one of the books my oldest came home from school and just had to read and I just had to get. It was at a time when she would destroy a book so we got it as a board book and we still read it as a board book.
This is also a game that all three of my girls can play with their different levels they are working on. This pond theme is being added to the other rolling math themes: winter scene, apple tree, farm, pumpkin patch, monster, Easter Basket and Christmas tree.
This Roll a Pond has 3 levels: Counting, Addition, and multiplication. There are two different multiplication types: 6 sided dice and 12 sided dice. This allows for different age levels to use the same printable. I really love using these types of hands-on printables. It is why I have made so many of them. It is fun to let kids have some fun playing with them.
The counting and addition are really easy to use. You need a one or two 6-side dice for the addition. You can also use a dice in a dice
for the addition. If you don’t have any of those options you can use the Number Writing Dice.
For the multiplication we use two 6-side dice or dice in a dice
for up to the 6×6. When we do the math up to the 12 x 12. We use a 12 sided dice or dice in a dice

What you will find in these printables:
- Rolling Sheets for counting, addition, and multiplication
- Items: frogs, fish, dragonflies, cattails, lilly pads, and turtles
- Recording sheets for addition and multiplication
