Skip counting can be a hard skill to learn and have many ways to learn it is great. This skip counting by 8 books is a great way to build skip counting skills while having fun with Valentine’s Day Theme!

What is skip counting?
Skip counting is the repeat addition of one number. So this set is working on skip counting by 8. So you are going to add * several times to get each of the new numbers.
Like 8 plus 8 plus 8 equals 24. That is skip counting by 8 3 times. And you can just keep going on. The books will show the repeat addition for each number, a visual for counting by 8 and the number it is on the side.

How to make the Skip Counting Easy Reader Book
You print off the easy reader book. Then you line up the pages and cut down the middle.
You alternate the pages of the book. The odd pages are on the top and even on the bottom. You alternate until all 14 pages of the book are together.
Then you staple the book along the side. There is a space there for stapling. You can use three or four staples to hold the book.
Ways to Use the Valentine Skip Counting by 8 Easy Reader Book Printable
You can read through the book and color the hearts and the numbers. This is a great way to work on skip counting as you turn the pages you see how the number goes up.
You can also read the book and work on the repeat addition. You can have them add the numbers up to see how they get to that number.
You can also add in hands-on items while doing the reading. You can add a unxfix cube every time you turn a page and can see how many of the cubes there are.
At the end of the book, there is a skip counting page with all the numbers from 8 to 96 that kids can read and count.
