Free Heart Themed Skip Counting Strips: 1 to 12

Heart themed activities has always been a favorite for me. And I love that we get to do them around Valentine’s Day!

And to make math more fun this year I have a fun free heart themed skip counting strips to use with kids! I always have requests for more skip counting.

It is a fun way to review or work on new skip counting activities with kids!

Heart Themed Skip Counting Strips

There are four skip counting strips for each of the numbers in the set. You have two strips that skip count forward and two and skip count backward. This allows you to work on a mix counting with the same number.

Ways to use the Heart Skip Counting Strips

I have the strips skip counting strips printed on white cardstock and laminated. This makes it easy to write directly on the strips. You can give them one at a time and have them write the answers on cards. We use dry erase markers for this.

If they are having problems with the skip counting then give them the skip counting bookmarks to help. That way they can see what number would be next.

One way I love to use these skip counting strips is on a 1 inch ring. You can give them a set of numbers they need to work on. It also keeps them together easier.

You can also switch up what is on the ring or set up several rings of the strips to use in a daily math center.

If you want to use them but don’t want to do the writing. Then you pull out the skip counting tiles. You can tape or glue them onto a clothespins and then just clip the correct number on the strip.

I recommend printing on color cardstock and laminating the tiles to make sure they hold up to repeated use.
