Jack and the Beanstalk Craft & Gross Motor
This is hands-on learning for Jack and the Beanstalk! Learning is always more fun when you add some hands-on with crafts and gross motor.

For this months book we did Jack and the Beanstalk. I love the many different variety of this story, but the classic tales of it are just as fun. We learned that it was originally an English fairy Tale.
What you need: green construction paper, glue sticks, scissors and roll of paper.

The girls cut up or used the long green construction paper to make the bean stalk.

The girls bear walked to climb up the beanstalk.

The girls did crab walking to climb down the beanstalk.

They did pretend climbing while standing and then chopped the beanstalk down.

This was super fun and easy to do and they loved it. They played with their beanstalk for a long time after the activity.
Here are some Fairy Tales books that you can check out. Yes, there are some older books in this list.

Thank you for your idea. I did the same and my student with special needs had a blast climbing an chopping the 3-D beanstalk I made. The principal took pictures and videos during her observation in my class.
I’m so glad the idea worked for you. We always have fun with our book activities.
