Hands-On Learning with Ocean Division Puzzles Printables
The ocean is a favorite theme, and putting that with division makes learning fun for the summer.
Today we have a totally fun hands-on ocean puzzles to work on division. These are great for kids that prefer to work on something other than flashcards.
I know that some kids need something fun and different to learn and review and that is what these are a fun way to work on division.
The Ocean Division Puzzles Printables are a great addition to any ocean printables and division printables.
The Ocean Division Puzzles Printables work on division from 2 to 12. There are 11 mats for kids to use. Each mat focuses on one divisor at a time. So you can work on dividing by 2 only on a mat.
The puzzles are a way to change up working on flashcards and give kids that like a hands-on way to learn something fun. Because you have a new puzzle for each divisor you can do a new puzzle each day.
I recommend printing the puzzles on cardstock and laminating them. It will help the puzzles last longer.
Each divisor has a puzzle for it. The puzzles have 12 pieces on them. You can see that mat has the 12 division equations.
The matching puzzle pieces have the answer to the equations on them. You can see the puzzle below before it is cut up.
Things to use with the Ocean Division Puzzles
Ways to use these division puzzles
The first thing I do with these puzzles before I laminate these puzzles is to write the puzzle name on the back on of the mat. And Then on the back of the pieces of each puzzle write the division number puzzle on each piece. You can see the mat and puzzle after I laminated them.
The next thing that I do is use wall putty
You can see that when you press a piece on the puzzle that it will stay on the puzzles.
You can set up the mats with pieces off to the side. Then kids can put the puzzles together. This makes a great learning center that can be reused.
One fun way we use these puzzles is to put them in a sensory bin with ocean animals
They pull a piece out of the bin. They can see the number in the corner.
You can see how the pieces of the puzzles come together as they match up the numbers and equations.
