Free Ocean Bookmark Printables
Every summer we go through bookmarks like crazy. We lose them and we can’t seem to every find one when we need it. This summer I’m making sure we have bookmarks! We are starting off with some Ocean Themed Bookmarks!
It has been so nice to just be able to print a bookmark out when we need one. Rather than searching all over or using random pieces to paper.

What is a Bookmark?
A bookmark is something used to mark one’s place in a book.
Bookmarks can be used to keep track of where you read. But they can also mark your favorite place in a book
Ocean Bookmark Printables
You have 12 ocean bookmarks to use with kids. You have four bookmarks on each page. Each bookmark is different to make it fun for the summer.
As reading levels have increased, bookmarks have become very important for us to have. It is fun to have seasonal and favorite themes for the bookmarks. They are a fun addition to reading ad kids get older.
Ocean Vertical Bookmarks
You have bookmarks that are vertical with pictures of ocean animals and reading phrases on the bookmarks.
Ocean Horizontal Bookmarks
You also have some horizontal ocean bookmarks. Each of the bookmarks has their picture and their ocean reading phrase. Something fun to add to the ocean animals.

Preparing the Ocean Bookmarks
I plan on printing these ocean animal bookmarks on white cardstock and laminating them. It helps the bookmarks last longer as well. You could also use the stardust cardstock for the bookmarks. It add a little extra color on the bookmarks.
If you have someone who will lose the bookmarks a lot then just print on cardstock. And summer seems to be a time when you need lots of bookmarks. And ocean is a theme you could use all year for ocean animal lovers.
Ways to use the Ocean Bookmarks
Keep You Place in Reading
The most simple way to use the ocean bookmarks is to use them to keep track of your reading. You can do this with any book kids are reading. You can use chapter books or picture books.
I keep extra in our library box so they can always get another if they need it. And ocean themes are always fun to use during the summer. But they could also work at the end of the school year and some times at thee start.
Use Them in Chapter Books
These bookmarks are loads of fun to use in chapter books. And these ocean bookmarks are great for World Ocean Day! You can have fun reading ocean books and keeping track of your place with the bookmarks. Another fun way to use these ocean bookmarks.

Fun way to Store Bookmarks
One way I keep track of if I need to print or make more is I keep then new ones on a hook on the wall above the books. This also gives them a place to hang up bookmarks when they are done.
