How we made the Paper Roll Snowflake Painting
You will see all the steps below we use to make the paper roll painted snowflake.
Step 1: Draw the Snowflake on the Paper
You want to draw the lines of the snowflake. You draw six big lines and then the small lines at the top of the lines.
You can do this for younger kids or let kids draw their own snowflake to paint. You can use markers if you need the lines to show up more.

Step 2: Put Paint the Paper Plates
You are going to put three colors of paint on a paper plate. We put them in a circle to make it easier to get on the paper roll. You can start with a little paint and add more paint as you need it.

Step 3: Put the paper Roll in the Paint
You can see we put the paper rolls in the paint. You want to move the paper rolls around in the paint to make sure to cover all the edges. This is also a great time to see if maybe you need more paint.

Step 4: Stamp the Paper Roll on the Snowflake Lines
You are going to start painting the snowflake lines with the paper rolls. Kids can start in the center of the snowflake or they can start at any line they want.

Step 5: Paper Roll Paint all the Snowflake Lines
You can see as we paint the lines of the snowflake with the paper rolls we are changing colors and mixing up how we paint the snowflake. No one snowflake will look the same.

You can see how we changed colors while doing the snowflake. Just realize that older kids might switch colors and younger kids might do one color.
And if they do only a few stamps of the paper roll on the lines that is okay as well. And if they never paint the lines that is perfectly okay for younger kids. This should be fun now a forced craft they have to do.

You can see how you can use the different colors to make the snowflakes. It is fun to see the overlapping colors and the snowflake show up on the paper.
