The paper roll snowman painting craft is a snowman made with paper rolls. You use blue paper with white paper to make the snowman. It is simple and easy to set up craft to kids in preschool, prek and kindergarten.

What you need for this Paper Roll Snowman Painting

• paper roll
• blue paper with snowman outline
• washable paints white, black and orange
• paper plate
• 2 plates of different sizes to make the snowman circles

How we made the Paper Roll Snowman Painting

You will see all the steps we took to make the paper roll snowman painting.

Step 1: Making the Snowman Body

This step can be done in advance. You can use two different sizes of plates to make the circles for the snowman. You hold one plate in place an trace it. Then move the other plate next to the first place you trace and hold the second plate in place as you trace. It is a simple way to get two circles on the paper.

Step 2: Paint for the Paper Rolls

You are going to put paint in three spots on the paper plate. You do a circle for the black and white paint, and an oval for the orange paint.

Then you place the paper rolls in the paint. You can see that we squished the paper roll that we used in the orange page for the nose of the snowman.

You use the paper rolls to move the paint around to make sure the whole paper roll is covered. And know that you can always add more paint if you need it.

Step 3: Paint the Snowman’s Body White

You are going to paint the body of the snowman. And know that kids can paint it however they want. They can start on the head of the body first. Just know that no snowman painting will look the same. And kids will add their own ideas.

You can see that we have kept painting the area. And you want to fill it in, but if kids only do a few stamps that is okay. If they happen to slide the paper roll around that is okay. Let them have fun making their snowman.

You just want to keep filling in the snowman with the stamps of white from the paper roll. And if the stamps overlap that is okay. It will fill in the snowman more.

Step 4: Paint the Snowman’s Eyes

You are going to use the black to paint the snowman’s eyes. You can see we used two stamps for the eyes. And it kids want they could add a mouth. It is up to them about that.

Step 5: Paint the Snowman’s Buttons

You can also see we used the black paint for the buttons on the snowman. This is a simple way to keep only a few paint colors while doing this snowman art project.

Step 6: Paint the Snowman’s Scarf

You can also use the black for the snowman’s scarf. You can paint between the two circles and then kids can decide how they want the scarf to look. we did two ends with up up higher than the other.

But kids might have their own idea about how to do it.

Step 7: Paint the Snowman’s Carrot Nose

Finally we use the orange to make a carrot nose for the snowman. You can have the stamp look anyway you want. You can squish the paper roll for a thinner nose or leave it more oval and get an oval nose.

Let kids be creative while they are doing these art projects.
