Ways to Use the Red, Yellow and Green Sensory Bin

You will see some ideas on how to use the sensory in but always remember that sensory bins are for play and kids need play.

Talk about the Three Colors of Apples

You can talk to kids that apples can come in three colors. It is great way to talk about different apples and while there are three color in the sensory bins.

Play in the Sensory Bin

You can always start out just playing in the sensory bin. The rice and colors make it easy to explore for kids. You can add items like cups and scoops as well.

But remember a sensory bin is a great place to just play for sensory needs.

You can grab a handful of rice and acrylic rocks. You will need a tray close by and have them pour the handful out. You can count how many greens, reds, and yellows were in each handful. Then put it back in the sensory bin and do it again.

– adding the three colors
