Preparing the Paper Strips
Cutting Paper Strips
We cut the paper into one inch stirps. We used a paper cutter. It is great to keep the lines the same and we cut three pages at the same time.

Cut the Red White and Blue Paper In Strips cut in Thirds
After you have the 1 inch strips we cut the paper into three pieces. You can see our cut paper below.

How we made the Red White and Blue Wreath Craft
You can see the steps below that we used to make the Red White and Blue wreath craft.
Step 1: Put Glue on the Paper Plate
We started by putting glue on the paper plate. You can do it on the strips but we found it easier to do on the paper plate. We did sections at a time for the glue.

Step 2: Place Paper on the Plate
After you have the glue on the plate, kids will pick a piece of paper and then place the paper. Then place it on the paper plate.
You can place the paper so the edge is on the middle of the paper or so the paper covers part of the circle in the middle. Lets kids decide how they will place the paper.
We did both and they both look great in the end.

Repeating Step 1 & Step 2
You are going to repeat the glue and paper on the wreath. You are going to want to cover the whole plate with the paper.

Making Patterns Vs. Just Putting Paper On To Make the Wreath
Now some kids will just place page on the wreath and it wont matter if it has a pattern or not. the wreath still looks pretty and that is okay. You can see how much fun it can be.
You can challenge older kids to make patterns with the different colors and see what patterns they make.
