How we made the Red, White & Blue Straw Painted Fireworks Wreath Craft
You can see the steps below that we used to make the Red, White & Blue Straw Painted Fireworks wreath craft.
Step 1: Dot Marker the Wreath
You are going to use a graphite dot marker to make the dot maker a black color with a little shimmer to the color.
You can use the inside of the paper plate you cut out as a protector of the table. You can see the set up for that below. If this wont work for the age of the kids you are doing the firework craft with then change it to a larger paper or art tray.

You can see how we use the paper plate center under where we are dot painting the paper plate. Remember do what is best for the kids making this firework craft.

Step 2: Put the Straw in the Paint on Paper Plate
You are going to put the straws in the paint. we use one straw for each color of paint. And when we cut the straw we did not cut them deep to make sure they would fit on the size of the paper plate wreath.

Step 3: Paint with Straw and Paints
You can see we started with one color of paint and went around the paper plate. This is just a suggestion to do one color at a time.
You can let kids paint as much as they want around the wreath and in any way they want.

Step 4: Repeat Step 3 with Different Colors
You can see after we did one color we started on the next color. You can see how fun it is to see the firework appear on the wreath.
And remember let kids be creative with this painting. They have more ideas or thoughts to make this their own painting.

You can see that we use all three colors and that the colors can overlap and you can paint as much as kids want around the wreath. And if kids want to do the same color a few times let them do that. It makes for a fun painting.
