Ways to Use the Red, Yellow, & Orange Sensory Bin
You are going to see a few ways to use this sensory bin but remember that just playing in this fall sensory bin is okay.
Play in the Fall Color Sensory Bin
You are going to want to just play in the sensory bin. You can use just scoop and pour and run you hands through the rocks. Sensory bins are really meant to be played in for sensory experience.
You can just do this simple activity with kids and have them explore the different between the rice and the colored rocks.
Sort the Colors of the Sensory Bin
Because this is a color base sensory bin you can have kids sort the colors in the bin. You could have them sort outside of the bin but that can get rice all over.’
You can have kids pick where the colors will go in the sensory bin. And you can point out that corners of the bin might work best. But let them decide.
Make Letters, Number Or Shapes in the Sensory Bin
You can for older kids add some letters, numbers or shape learning in the sensory bin. You can have kids use the ABC wall cards, number wall cards, and shape wall cards for help.

And a final reminder just playin in the sensory bin is okay. And kids will have a blast playing in the rocks and rice. And this is super simple to set up for kids.
