Science Fun with Tissue Paper Heart Activity
While we have been stuck inside we have been doing some fun activities. This was a fun valentines themed science activity that we did. We explored wind and how it moves objects.

The Tissue Paper Heart Activity is a great addition to the Valentines activities on the site.
Science Fun with Tissue Paper Hearts
This is a really fun hands on activity you can repeat several different ways. This is fun and my girls loved it. We worked on different ways to do the activity. We learned about blowing air out of the straw and the pressure needed to pick up a heart off the floor.
This could be done with any shape of paper. We picked hearts for Valentines.

Doing the Tissue Paper Heart Activity
Get the hearts Out of the Circle
The first activity we did was seeing how fast you could clear out the hearts from inside the circle. They loved doing this. We repeated it several times.

Pick up the Hearts off the Floor
The next test we did was to have them pick up a heart off the floor using the straw. This took a few tries to learn to suck in the air and not blow out. This was a fun challenge. After they got the hang of one heart I challenged them to try to pick up more than one heart.

Throw the Hearts and Count how Many in the Circle
The last thing we did was throw the hearts in the air and see how many would land in the circle. They had tons of fun with the falling hearts.
