Easy No-Prep Sight Word Spin & Color Printable – 220 Dolch Sight Words
Sight words are always something kids are learning. I love to change up how we do them now and then. One fun way I have done this is with a new coloring and tracing printable for the words.
This sight word printable makes a great literacy center for kids learning sight words. You can also like that I can use this sight word printable with any learning system. There is no set order that you have to use the sight word worksheets.

What is a Sight Word?
Sight words are words that we teach beginner readers to know by heart. This is so that when they see it they know it. It can help speed reading along.
Simply put, these are words that are commonly found in reading. Some examples are: like, and, can, go here, and come. They might not be easy to decode or don’t follow a simple sounding pattern.

Ways To Use the Sight Word Spin & Color Printable
You can see below how we set up the sight word centers and how we use this sight word printables.
Setting Up the Sight Word Center with Spinners
You can use a pencil and paperclip to make the spinner. It was a fun way to work on learning the letters in the sight words while coloring. Plus everyone can have different colors for their word.
You can also use a clear spinner to help with spinning. You just place the clear spinner over the center of the circle. Then you just use your finger to spin and color the letters.
Don’t forget you can use a pencil for the handwriting. We use the colored markers a lot for the tracing but some kids might do better with a penci.
Spin & Color the Sight Word Letters & Trace the Words
One fun way we did the tracing was to match the word up to the letter we just colored. So if they color in the letter s in red, they then trace the word sleep in red. It is fun to do, and we love it.
You can also see that we colored the colors on the wheel. This can help kids who struggle with their color words.
You can see below that we just colors the letters by color and then traced all the words with the same color as well. A fun handwriting change for sight words.
