Skip Counting: Bus Task Cards, Wall Cards & Recording Sheet
Skip counting is one activity that you start on during the different years. You start with simple 5s and 10s in first grade and work up to hard ones as you go on.
One fun way we have done it is to do activities that have you fill in the missing numbers with skip counting. It is one fun way to do it. Today I have a bus-themed skip counting task cards with matching wall cards to help with this.
The Skip Counting Bus Task Card Printable is an excellent addition to the school printables and skip counting printables on the site.
What is Skip Counting?
Skip counting involves adding the same number repeatedly. You have a pattern of adding or counting.
So if you skip counting by 2s, you have a pattern like 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and so forth. These patterns can be repeated for many numbers.
The most often used numbers are 2 through 12. And that is what these skip counting printables work on numbers 2 through 12 skip counting.
Skip Counting Bus Task Card Set
The Skip Counting Bus task cards is a great skip counting center for kids working on learning skip counting or review skip counting. You have wall cards, skip counting take cards, and recording sheets.
These are a great way to work on skip counting with a school theme that could be used all year with the different takes cards.

Skip Counting Bus Wall Cards
There is a set of skip counting wall card in the set. They have numbers 1 to 12 on them. They work great on a wall or on a ring.
You have the skip counting numbers at the top. Then the skip counting numbers on the bus below.
Skip Counting Bus Task Card Printables
There are four types of task cards. You have one filled out, one missing every other numbers, missing random numbers and missing all but the starting number. These are great to work on the different levels of learning skip counting.
You have the following types of skip counting task cards:
– Filled out skip counting bus task cards.
– Missing every other number skip counting bus task cards
– Missing columns of numbers
– Staring number only skip counting bus task cards
The skip counting task cards some in color and black and white version to help save on ink if you need it.
Skip Counting Bus Task Cards Recording Worksheet
There is a skip counting recording sheet as well. It has space all 12 numbers on the bus. There is a version with writing the task card number and a recording sheet without the task card number for kids to use.

How we use the Skip Counting Bus Task Card Printables
You are going to see how we use the different skip counting task cards and wall cards with kids.
Preparing the Bus Skip Counting Wall Cards & Task Cards
You can print the bus skip counting wall cards on cardstock and laminate them. This helps them hold up longer when kids use them.
We also printed on cardstock and laminated the bus task cards. This allows kids to use the skip counting task cards in several different ways.
Use the Skip Counting Wall Cards in a Learning Center
The first ways are with the bus skip counting wall cards. We pulled out the clear glass gems. You have kids say the number and cover it on the card. The clear gems allow you to still see the numbers.
After you finish covering the skip counting card we took off the gems and worked on skip counting count backward.
Writing Out the Numbers on the Skip Counting Task Cards
We also have used the bus skip counting task card that has missing numbers and used a dry erase marker on them to fill in the numbers. It is easy to wipe off the laminated card and do the next card. These cards also work nicely on a ring so kids can flip through them.
You can also put different mixed of the bus skip counting task cards on rings for learning centers.
You can also keep the bus skip counting wall cards close by to use as a help for kids to see if they got the numbers right.
Use the Skip Counting task Cards with the Skip Counting Recording Sheet
We also use the bus skip counting cards with the recording worksheet. This is a good way to work on 6 sets of skip counting cards with different levels. You can use the level that works for what you are learning.
You can see how you have space to write the skip counting numbers they see on the cards on the worksheet. This is a great way to see how well they are doing on certain skip counting numbers.
