Snowflake Paper Plate Wreath Craft
Winter has so many great themes you can do activities with. And this year we have been having fun thinking about snow. We have not had much snow yet. But you never know what is going to come.
For this, we decided to make a snowflake wreath. They are super fun and easy to make. I know that we still love simple crafts. And this is a twist on a watercolor snowflake painting we have done.

This snowflake paper plate wreath is a fun craft you can make for winter. It has a a mix of blues for the background and while snowflakes around the wreath.
Super simple to make and loads of fun for kids.
Book We Read With Our Snowflake Paper Plate Wreath Craft
We love reading several books about snow. We have always loved the book Snow by Uri Shulevitz. I love how it starts with one simple snowflake and grows to many more.
What you need to make the Snowflake Wreath Craft
- paper plate
with center cut out
- white cardstock
- Glitter white cardstock
- dot marker
- dot marker brillant set
- Snowflake punches 3 sizes: 2 inch, 1.5 inch, and 1inch
- stardust cardstock
- scissors
- glue

How to the Snowflake Wreath
You do the paper plate with the dot markers. We used purple, blue and teal. One thing I love about the dot markers is that they dry really fast on the paper plate.
We punched out the snowflakes. We used the white cardstock and white glitter cardstock. We worked on how to punch the snowflakes.
You line up the paper in the punch and make sure you have space.
Then you punch out the snowflakes. I like to have them punch out things when I can. It helps them with deep pressure activity for them. I also like to start on the plain white cardstock and then work towards the glitter cardstock so they remember how to punch before doing the harder paper.
Last, we glued the snowflakes on our wreaths. It was fun to see how the wreath looked with the snowflakes. We enjoyed picking how we were going to place them.
You can put them on one at a time or place them around the wreath and then glue them.
