Free Summer Bookmark Printables
I think the summer is the time we use the most bookmarks at our house! We always seem to be losing them right and left. I’ve been making bookmarks for each season. And have a general summer theme is great. These are great for all year and kids love htem.
These are great for any size of book and perfect to use with kids. I tis nice that you can use theme with all ages. And we have used these for pointers in reading.

A bookmark is something used to mark one’s place in a book.
Bookmarks can be used to keep track of where you read. But they can also mark your favorite place in a book
Summer Bookmark Printables
Every season has so many fun images to pick and choose from. Summer has many great themes, including the beach, sun, water activities, and more. Pick out the bookmark that works best for your needs.
There are 12 different bookmarks on 3 different pages. Each one has a fun summer theme on them. It makes it fun to switch up what bookmark they want to use. Plus I have them around for when they lose the bookmark they were using.
You can use these with kids in kindergarten, first grade, second grade and third grade. Really you can use them with older kids as well.

I have included some vertical bookmarks in the summer themes. You will find different themes on each bookmark.

Preparing the Summer Bookmarks
I plan on printing these Summer bookmarks on white cardstock and laminating them. It helps the bookmarks last longer as well. You could also use the stardust cardstock for the bookmarks. It add a little extra color on the bookmarks.
If you have someone who will lose the bookmarks a lot then just print on cardstock. And summer seems to be a time when you need lots of bookmarks.
Ways to use the Summer Bookmarks
I have a few suggestion on how to use the summer bookmarks. And you might have other ideas as well.
Keep You Place in Reading
The most simple way to use the summer bookmarks is to use them to keep track of your reading. You can do this with any book kids are reading. You can use chapter books or picture books.
I keep extra in our library box so they can always get another if they need it. Use these bookmarks all year!
Use Them in Chapter Books
These summer Bookmarks are perfect for chapter books or novels. And they are ones that you could use all year. And the summer theme is one to use all summer…or at the end of the school year to get ready for summer.
You can uses these in Magic Tree House Books…and maybe read the whole series this summer!
