How We Made the Torn Paper Glitter Snowflakes
You will see the simple steps below we used to make the torn paper glitter snowflakes.
Step 1: Tear Up the Glitter Paper
We always start off with tearing the glitter paper. This paper is thicker than normal construction paper and gives more work for fine motor skills.
Kids can share paper and make a pile together for their snowflakes.

Step 2: Trace the Snowflake with Glue
Next you are going to trace the snowflake lines with the glue stick. You can use normal glue if that is what you have.
We only did one line of the snowflake at a time. And it does not matter if kids start at the top of the paper or at the bottom of the paper.

Step 3: Place the Glitter Paper on the Snowflake
Then we placed the torn glitter paper on the glue we just did. You can see how the line sticks out on the white paper with the glitter paper.

Step 4: And Repeat the Process Over and Over
After you have one line of the snowflake done you are going to repeat the steps that you use above.
You will do this until all six sides of the snowflake are done.
Now we did our snowflakes with one color of glitter paper, but that does not mean that kids can’t mix up the colors of their snowflakes. Let them be creative and see what happens.
