How we made the Torn Paper Total Solar Eclipse Craft
You will see the simple steps we did to make the torn paper total solar eclipse craft.
Making the Circle on the Black Paper
We used a bowl to make our circle. We trace the bowl to make the while cardstock circle.
We use a black silver outline marker to trace the circle on the black paper. it gave us a clear idea where to place the torn paper.
You can do this in advance or you can have kids do the tracing. You really want something that will show up on the black paper.

Tear up the Silver Paper
You want to start tearing up the glitter silver paper. This is great for building fine motor strength in fingers. The glitter paper is a little hard to tear than regular paper as well.

You can see our pile of torn up paper here. You can tear the paper up in advance or you can tear and glue as you go.

Put Glue on the Circle
Next you wan to put glue around the circle. You can do the whole circle if you have the paper torn up in advance.
Or you glue the circle as you go.

Place Sliver Paper on the Glue Circle
Next you want to place the silver around the glue circle that you did. You want to try and cover the whole like of the circle.
These can be big pieces or little pieces. It is just a way to show the light that comes from a total solar Eclipse.
