Tracing Sight Word Cards: All 220 Sight Words
I love having cards that are flexible. I have several sets of sight words cards on the site. I wanted to add something different. We loved the cards with the guidelines and I wanted to add something more.
So today we have free sight word cards with tracing. And easy way to work on reading and writing sight words.
We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission.
This printable is a part of my subscriber library. You can click here to subscribe to get access to the page. You can find them in the sight word section.
I love that you can have different cards that work great with any sight word sets you are working on. These work great as another resource when learning sight words. It is great for those that need an additional way to work on the words. Plus they are a great addition to all the sight word printables on the site.
Each of the cards has a single word with tracing in guidelines. This helps kids see word-formation. You can see examples of the cards below. Plus it is another great set of sight words cards for kids to have. I recommend laminating the cards to help them last longer.

How to use the Sight Word Tracing Cards
I love that these cards are reusable. You can print them on white cardstock and laminate
them. This allows you to use them over and over. I always pick out their favorite color the dry erase marker
to use with them.

An easy way to store the cards is to put them on a ring. You can use the ring size you need for the cards you are using. You could put all the words that start with one letter on a ring to practice the words. I use a small 1 inch ring for a few cards and a 2 inch ring
for all the cards from a list.

You can match the trace cards with a plain sight word card. You can make a game of it. You can line up the cards with words up or words down for whichever works best for your kids. Match cards from both sides and have fun. You could do this with the guideline cards as well.

After they match the cards, have them trace the tracing card. You could do this with their finger or a dry erase markers on the laminated cards. They are very flexible in how you want to use them. I always keep dry erase markers
around.

One fun part about having these be black and white is that you can print them on any color cardstock you want! So kids can have different colors all year long. It is a fun seasonal change that you can do.
