It is always a challenge to find fun easy books to read that you can just print and go. That is why I’ve been making so many different easy reader books.
This Trick or Treat Kids is great for Halloween plus it is part of the 31 Days of Free Printables! I’m so excited to be a part of this fun month!

What is an easy reader book?
Easy reader books are an easy way to great way to get learning tools into small hands. They can re-read them and call the book their own.
Trick or Treat Kids Easy Reader Book Printable
This was a really fun easy reader for Halloween. A lot of time nice repetitive things are great when kids are learning to read. My youngest and I have been making her little easy reader books that I slowly have been making harder for her and she loves it! But sometimes it is nice to have a book that reviews a set of words or fits with a theme.
These books have 10 pages and each page has a simple sentence with the words: I, can, be, a. This allows kids to work on certain sight words and have fun. They can look at the picture for help with the final word in the sentence.

Things to use with the Trick or Treat Kids Reader Book Printable

- pencil grips – Use if they have problems holding the pencil
- stapler

How to Make the Easy Reader Books
I always get asked how I make the easy reader books. Here are the simple steps that I use to make the books. I use scissors and a stapler.
Cut Down the Center of the Easy Reader Book
You start by lining up the pages and cutting down the middle of the book. You want to make sure you hold the pages steady while you cut.
Alternate the Pages of the Easy Reader Book
You alternate the pages of the book. The odd pages are on the top and the even pages on the bottom. You have even and then odd until all the pages are sorted.
Staple the Left side of the Easy Reader Book
After you make sure all the pages of the book are lined up, staple the book on the left side. Then your easy reader book is ready to be used.

You can read through the book and look at the different costumes that kids are wearing. You can talk about how each of the outfits are different.
