Things You Could Prepare Ahead of Time
There are some of the things you could prepare ahead of time for younger kids. But know that older kids could do these steps.
Make the Brown Circles for the Turkey Body
We used a circle cookie cutter and trace the circle and then cut out the brown circles. If you are doing this ahead of time you can cut several circles at the same time.
If kids are doing this let them hold the cookie cutter and trace the circle and then cut the circle out out.

Cut out the Orange Beaks
You fold orange construction paper and then cut triangles out of the folded paper. You can have older kids do this step.

Punch Out the Circles
Then you are going to punch out small 5/8 circles for the turkey’s eyes. This step is easy for kids to do but if time is a limit of you don’t have any punches you can do in advance.

Draw Part of a Circle on the Watercolor Paper
You can draw a small circle on the watercolor paper. This is to help kids see where the weathers should be stamped around. It is a guide and you can skip this step if you want. But it does help.
You can have older kids trace the circle on their paper. Just have them put part of the 1/4 circle off the paper.

How We Made The Turkey Feather Stamp Painting
You can see the steps below that we used to make the Turkey Feather Stamp painting.
Step 1: Paint On Paper Plate Or Tray
You are going to put paint in the shape of the feather on a paper plate. Then you can let kids use the cookie cutter to spread the paint around to cover the edges of the feather cookie cutter.

Step 2: Stamping The Cookie Cutter On The Paper
You are going to put the cookie cutter on the paper. You can start with any color kids want. You can see how you can see the shape of the feather on the paper.
And yes you might have a few cookie cutter stamps off the paper. You can use a paper under if you are worried about the paint on the table.

Step 3: Keep Stamping Turkey Feather On The Paper
You are then going to keep stamping feathers on the paper. It is simple and easy to do. You can start with one color and then use other colors.

Step 4: Make Rows of Feathers
You are going to make rows of feathers. You can see how the feathers overlap each other. It is a simple and fun painting idea for the feathers.
It makes the feathers look like they are spread out.
If your feathers don’t all like right or in a semi circle that is okay! Lets kids be creative while they are doing this.

Step 5: Glue on the Brown Circle
You are going to glue the brown circle at the bottom of the paper in the center of the feathers. You don’t need a lot of glue because the paint will help the circle stay in place.
We used liquid glue but you could also use a glue stick.

Step 6: Make the Eyes and Glue on the Brown Circle
You are going to take the white circles and draw eyes. Then you glue the eyes on the brown circle on the paper.

Step 7: Glue on the Beak for the Turkey
The final step is to blue the orane beak on the turkey. And then you are all done with the craft.

Your turkey is now done!
