Turn a Number Dot Marker Printable Into A Math Page
Ask kids get older they miss out on the things that were fun when they were younger. I thought I would show one fun way that I adapt the dot marker pages for my girls as they get older.
My girls love the number dot maker pages. There are three different types of printables to pick from. I use one type for the examples.
I’m going to show you three different ways that I use them: counting, addition and division. Each meets that needs of one of my girls at their current level of learning.
What you need for these activities: Number Dot Marker pages, pen and dot marker.
Counting
My youngest is really working on counting. She knows her numbers and can write most of them. For her we worked on counting the items in each circle and making sure they counted up to the number 5.
We also talked about how the hand at the bottom matching her hand as well. It was fun for her to go through and dot all the circles that counted up to 5. You could easy just put just numbers in the circles and have them just find the number. There are many ways to adapt this for counting and numbers.

Addition
Addition is really easy. You just put all addition you are working on in the circles. In this case we were working on ways to add to 9. So I put all the ways you could add up to the number nine and put them in the circles. I left several blank and put in other addition problems.
This let her work on her math and dot those that only matched the correct number we were working on.

Division
My oldest is working on division. She does not like to be left out when everyone is doing something fun. I made her a division problem that she had to solve. She had to dot all the answer that would equal 5. This was fun in that you can mix up the numbers a lot with this. On a side note remember it is okay when they make a mistake. We always try and learn from our mistakes.
Plus it does let them have some fun as well while working on their division.
