Fun And Easy To Use: Free Ways To Add Up To 20 Printable
When you are learning addition there are many different ways to learn it. I’ve added several math addition tools to help kids over the years. One of my favorites has been the Ways to Add Up to Up to 20!
It is a fun printable that can be used as a no-prep printable or make into a fun hands-on learning center.
You can mix it up for whatever works for your needs.

The Ways To Add Up To 20 Printable is a great addition to the candy printables and addition printables on the site.
What is Addition?
Addition is defined as adding something to something else. So that is adding different things together.
This is where kids learn one plus one equals 2 or 1 + 1 = 2. You start on simple and work up to more complex math.
Ways To Add Up To 20 Printable
The Ways To Add Up To 20 Printable is simple; you figure out all the ways to add up to each number on the page. There are spots on each page that show all the equations you can add up to the number.
This will allow for writing the addition equation both ways like: 3 + 4 and 4 + 3.
There are two types of ways to add up printables with gumballs in the center and without gumballs in the center.
Ways To Add Up With Gumballs
One has gumballs in the center that kids can use to help them add up to the number. They can make groups of two numbers out of the gumballs in the center. Then use those to make the equations around the outside.

Ways To Add Up Without Gumballs Printable
The second type has no gumballs and is blank in the center. This allows you to turn it into a hands-on addition activity for them. Where they use hands on items to move around to make the equation with items before writing them in the circles.

Ways to Use the Ways To Add Up with Gumballs Printable
You are going to see a few ways to set up the gumball addition printables for kids.
Setting Up the Addition Center with the Ways to Add Gumball Printable
You can use the way to add printable as a worksheet for kids. You can give them the addition worksheet with the gumballs and a pencil.
If they are just starting out or are struggling to figure out the addition equations you can give them the addition bookmarks. The bookmarks have all the equations to add up to each number.

Using Hands-on Items with the Addition Gumball Worksheets
You can use hands-on items in the center to make the addition equations. You can use LEGOs to make two groups for each number to make the equations.
You could also use unifix cubes or mini pompoms.

Stack LEGOS to make the Addition Equations
One fun way we have used these is to use LEGOs to stack them up to show the ways to add. This makes it visual and hands-on for kids. We used the bookmarks to help with the equations the first time.
