How to Make the Snowflake Counting Easy Reader Books
I always get asked how I make the easy reader books. Here are the simple steps that I use to make the books. I use scissors and a stapler.
Cut Down the Center of the Snowflake Counting Easy Reader Book
You start by lining up the pages and cutting down the middle of the book. You want to make sure you hold the pages steady while you cut.
Alternate the Pages of the Snowflake Counting Easy Reader Book
You alternate the pages of the book. The odd pages are on the top and the even pages on the bottom. You have even and then odd until all the pages are sorted.
Staple the Left side of the Snowflake Counting Easy Reader Book
After you make sure all the pages of the book are lined up, staple the book on the left side. Then your easy reader book is ready to be used.
Ways to Use the Snowflake Number Word Counting Book Printable
You can use the book in many ways, but you will see a few fun ways to use this counting book.
Pencil for Tracing the Number Word
Each page in the book has the number word for kids to trace. If they struggle with holding a pencil you can give them a pencil grip. That helps with pencil control.
Hands-On Counting With Snowflakes on the Snowflake Counting BOok
You can use the book for hands-on counting below you do any coloring or writing in the snowflake counting book.
You can use these snowflakes to place on each page as you read.
Trace the Number Word in the Snowflake Number Book
You can always start off by tracing the number name in pencil the first time through the book. The second time you might use marker to trace the number word. See more about the second later in the post.
This gives you a chance to work on handwriting number words while reading.
Color the Number Word in the Counting Book
You can color the number word on each of the pages. This gives you a second way to spelling and seeing the number word on each page.
Trace the Number Word Again
If you did the pencil tracing the first time, you can coloring it up by tracing again with a marker at this time!
That means you will have worked on handwriting for the number words twice while reading the book.
Count and Color the Snowflakes
Finally, you can work on counting and coloring the snowflakes in the book. Each page has a different amount of snowflakes that kids can color.
You can read the sentence and then count the snowflakes in the the book.
This is a fun counting book that you could work on one page a day or do the whole book in a learning center or even homework. You could also use it for morning work.
